The Contributions Hub has been established to provide an economical means for SMSFs and small APRA funds to meet their compliance obligations for SuperStream.

It allows APRA funds to send and receive rollovers and to receive contribution advices from payroll systems.

It allows SMSFs to receive contribution advices from payroll systems. Note that currently the ATO does not want rollovers to be sent to or from SMSFs using SuperStream - they must still be done manually.

It is not intended to handle significant volumes of transactions for larger APRA funds. Ozedi has a variety of solutions for such funds which can be found on the Ozedi web site

If you are a Self Managed Superannuation Fund

You register yourself as a Contributions Hub user with your SMSF details.

From July 2014 you must receive your contributions in the SuperStream electronic format. The date when you will actually start receiving contribution advices via SuperStream will depend on when your employer starts sending contribution advices via SuperStream and that will depend on when they want to start. From July 2014, the ATO is running a gradual implementation of SuperStream through an induction process. Unless your employer elects to be in induction group one, you will not receive any contribution advices via SuperStream before October 2014.

If you are an APRA fund

You register yourself as a Contributions Hub user with the details of one of your funds
You can then start by sending a test rollover from your fund to itself and checking to see that the data has been transmitted successfully
We will send you a link so you can add your other managed funds to the hub
You can send a rollover to any APRA fund
You will be able to receive a rollover from any APRA fund - you will be advised by email if a fund sends you a rollover so you can log on to the Contributions Hub and retrieve it
You will be able to initiate a rollover request from the Contributions Hub and be able to respond to initiate rollover requests
From May 2014 you will be able to receive your contributions in the SuperStream electronic format.
All these requirements will be available to APRA funds well before the due date.

The Contributions Hub is connected to the Ozedi SuperStream gateway and ensures that as an APRA fund you fulfill all your compliance obligations under the SuperStream regulations.

If you are a Self Managed Superannuation Fund the minimum requirement is a web browser to access the secure Contributions Hub portal. When you receive data, you can download it as a file for loading into an Excel spreadsheet, print the web page, or download a PDF.

If you are an APRA fund and want to start sending rollovers on our portal you can upload an Ozedi Rollover Format file created from an Excel spreadsheet. You receive Rollovers by logging in and downloading in the ways mentioned above. If your software provider or IT department wants to integrate our StreamServer gateway with your back office systems we can supply them with a free software development kit.

If you are a software provider we expect you either have built an AS4 application which has ebHandler capabilities or we can offer a VPN service. If you need an AS4 development kit with ebHandler capabilities, we can provide this for you also.

If you are an APRA fund and do not have any software available to start sending and receiving rollovers we can provide you with a browser application to send and receive rollovers to or from anyone on the ATO's Fund Validation Register.
